Re: Motivation! I need some!

Yeah guys, that's some good motivation! Keep it coming. I'm starting to get the urge to go back out there and turn some wrenches. My thing is every time I pull one part off, there's another one that needs replacing right behind it (on the '67). What started out being a few "simple" upgrades has snowballed into something much more, and I've just run out of steam.

68shortstep- I don't think those caliber of girls would want to rub themselves all over my tired 350

Botie- what color green is that? I like.

ErikD- yes, that thing is beautiful... been following your build thread since it started and have all the pics saved to my HD. If I can achieve a quarter of what you have with that ride, I'll be happy!

Kyull67- Yes, that's great motivation. I've read your threads too. Truck looks awesome!

Re: Motivation! I need some!

i usually get motivated to get out in the shop and do something after watching the powerblock on spike tv network, saturday or sunday mornings. i have the mentality of doing a little at a time, usually because of money, now i dont know where your project is at or what your goals are, but what i did for example, one weekend i would pull the truck off the road and paint the dash/restore some other stuff in the dash, then reasseble, a few weeks later i put new inner fenders and a new core support in it, in a few more weeks i want to get a new seat cover and carpet and do that in a weekend. i have seen a bunch of guys pull there trucks/cars off the road for years! when i have been driving my stuff and restoring as i go, now of course some things you cant do in a short period of time like painting the frame or the truck, just food for thought, i know how easy it is to just tear the whole truck apart

So what you're saying is that you're going to miss the last few weeks of cruisin' weather because you're too dang lazy to get to work on the truck?

I set myself a goal of doing something to the truck between each show/cruise night I go to.I like to go so I have to do.I don't want the other cruisers thinking I'm just gonna drive it like it is.

Apparently you didn't see where I'm located.... cruisin' weather hasn't even started yet! And I wouldn't call myself lazy as I'm in school full time and work a job. When it's still 106+ outside, it takes a bit of wheel power to get out there and wrench under a truck.

If you don't work on your truck it will get towed by the "Lack of Motovation Agency" and they drop off a fire damaged 95 Ford Ranger that a HOBO was using for a toilet in it's place.

Better look outside!!!

I know heat. It's not that warm here but it has been muggy.I was just trying to get you going. Now turn that outrage into constructive time on the truck.I don't usually do big projects in the heat.I may clean and paint a bracket or something.I usually do larger project over the cooler fall/spring.
