cab seal question
Is there a weatherstripping that goes around the door frame and seals when it hits the cab as well as one that is on the cab. I know of the one that goes along door frame but what about the little lip on the cab? if you notice on this truck built by fesler http://www.feslerbuilt.com/1968Chevytruckpur.htm it has rubber on the cab lip....and none on the door.......but if you go to brotherstrucks, ecklers, or earlyclassic, they all sell you door to cab seals which mount on door? HOW DOES THAT MAKE SENSE.....I CAN GO ORDER FROM THEM AND LOCALLY I CAN BUY THE RUBBER FOR THE LIP AROUND THE CAB....BUT WHICH IS THE PROPER WAY??

Re: cab seal question
No weatherstripping hooks to the door. This one is easy, go to your local junk yard and get a set of door seals from a '96ish full size Chevy truck. They also, like ours, have the pinch welt on the cab, not the door. Unlike the 67-72 seals which have to be glued on, these have a pinch seal and work perfectly. They look great. They are a shade too long so they need to be cut to length. Cost me like 10 bucks for both seals.

Re: cab seal question
it doesn't say it mounts on the door, it doesn't say anything about how it mounts, it's just saying the job of the weatherstripping, to seal between the door and cab, to keep water out. it could be more specific

Re: cab seal question
The seal in that photo is correct and the truck is a 67/72. You made me go out and look at my 71 to be sure. That seal looks a lot better than mine though.

Re: cab seal question
I couldn't find any decent push type at the junkyard so I bought them from GMCPauls -local vendor.
