H pipe exhaust

anyone have any pics of an h or x pipe exhuast installed on your truck?

Here is the exhaust on my 69 K20. The system is 3" pipe from the headers to the x-pipe, then 2 1/2" to Dynomax UltraFlo's and continues as 2 1/2" pipe dumping at the rear of the flatbed angled down slightly.

Here are some pics of the system. This is the X-pipe that I had built by someone I found on E-bay.



Rather than use the collector piece that came with the headers, American Muffler made their own piece



The passenger side collector was fairly close to the transfer case. Here is a pic of the pipe coming over the transfer case





Here is the X-pipe installed directly behind the transfer case







And here is an example of the welds at the X-pipe

The pipes dumb right before the hitch and are well protected



Sadly, I'm making a transfer case change and had to cut out the exhaust - so I'll be making another trip to the exhaust shop soon.

Yep....my brother and I did it.....2 1/2" pipe and flowmasters series 40's.....
we tryed to tuck it as close to the frame as possible....

I haven't taken any pics from the side, AND I haven't finished up my rebuild, so I haven't gotten it on the road yet....BUT from front and side views, it doesn't look like I'll have any clearance issues.....The turn downs hang about as low as the bottom of the rear axle (by the way, I have a 2 1/2" drop in front and 4" drop in the rear)

I ordered a 2 1/2" Pypes kit for my truck. It has a X in it. I haven't gotten it yet though.

Not such a great photo but you can see the finishing up welding being done on mine. Just ahead of the tranny mount..nice overall difference in how the truck runs, sounds, and I think a slight gas mileage benifit, if I can stay out of it...second photo measuring back from the collectors before cutting it in...hope this helps...
