steering box

what is the turn count on a stock 72 power steering box. Mine is 3and a half..is that stock?

I didn't have a power box on my 72 but picked one up from an 81 and it is 3-1/2 turns lock to lock, I'm not 100% certain but I think the 72's were 4-1/2 turns, the reason I'm saying this is because the upgrades in the CPP catalog state this claim. But sometimes I'm no help.

cool thanks guys....i just saw , that ece sells a quick ratio 3-1/2 turn and they say the stock one was 4-1/2......I guess itwas changed at some point in it's life

yes I changed mine, I think it is a common "upgrade" I just replaced it with a stock box from a newer truck.
