Need Help putting in AC in my cab
I've got a 69 non-air cab. I was trying to put an AC inner box in my cab tonight. None of the holes lined up for the studs that are attached to the AC box. I thought I had heard someone say that you could switch a heater only box for an AC box without any cutting, i guess I was wrong. How did you guys line up the inner box and decide where to drill the new mounting holes?

NO YOU CAN'T. YOUR RIGHT. If you have the out side ac box make a templete and mark fire wall, then inside will fit right up. Also you will need to cut the openings a little different. I added the factory ac to my 71 and had a templete and let a so called friend borrow it, guess what haven't seen it in about 4yrs. Once you get the temp. made lay it up on the fire wall and try and center up the temp. to the openings already there. That will give you the best starting piont I would think. It's been a while since I did mine and my father-in-laws. Hope this helps.
