What was included in the 68 CST Option

Looking at a 68 this weekend and was curious as to what was included in the CST option. What are the dead giveaways that I can easily spot to see if it is original.
Thanks for all the help...

CST included: Bright grille moldings/headlight surrounds/vent window frames, and windshield trim. Also includes pedal trim and control knob trim (the knobs with sliver centers). Chrome front bumper, special CST emblem, vinyl bucket seats with padded center console; carpeting; R&L armrests; padded sunshades, cigar lighter; special cowl insulation; underbody coating; and vinyl door trim.

That's straight out of the GM resto packet, that should pretty much cover it.

Most of what 68 Stepside said is true. It sounds as though he's looking at a 67 packet. I am pretty sure the 68 CST option did not automatically get you buckets. They were a seperate option. The 68 CST Bench seat is different than the Custom or base bench seat. It has vinyl ribbed inserts running front to back and top to bottom on the back of the seat. 67 CST's however should have buckets as part of that package.

The 68 CST should also have a chrome front bumper and color keyed carpet. The acid test I use for 67-68 CST's is wether or not they have chrome inserts on the pedals. Only the CST's had these as far as I've seen. Most other options can be ordered seperately or come with the Custom option. Good luck and let us know what kind of shape the truck is in.

Well I went and looked at the truck and you had me worried for a bit. The truck had the bench seat so I figured it was a clone... but had everything else for a CST. I pretty sure that it's a CST but you never know these days. It's got air, power brakes, power steering, new oak bed. Not sure if it's all original but it looks to be. Has the original air cleaner but I'm not sure what motor it has in it. Doesn't matter too much as it will be changed out. No option sticker on the glovebox.

Picking it up tomorrow. After a two year search I decided to get this one. Now I can bring it home and strip it down.....Can't wait. Pics soon.

I'm sure I'll have a few questions once I get it since I don't know much about the 68's.
