I plan on putting A/C in this truck sometime this year. My question is when buying parts such as a new battery tray, glove box, etc.. should I be buying the ones for a thruck with A/C?

I don't know about battery tray, but the glovebox liner is different for a truck with factory air. I probably depends on what type of AC system you're installing. I'd get the unit installed first, then you can tell what other parts are needed.

Battery trays are different for trucks with A/C. I believe they are stamped diffferently for the freon lines that run to the condenser and dryer infront of the radiator.

The only difference that I am aware of is a bracket to hold two freon lines coming from the dryer and condensor. I just drilled a hole and pop rivited the bracket into my existing battery holder. The bracket came with the lines I purchased from Kenny's Trucks.

Man I love that truck....blue dots too!
If you are going to install factory A/C, then get the A/C specific parts. If you'll be going with an aftermarket company...don't bother. ------------------ '69 G.M.C. 350/350. Are the A/C systems sold by Brother and Chevy duty set up just like the factory units. Also, has anyone installed one of these units in there truck??
