tip of the day: Reseting your oil service lights

Step one determine which system you have. There are 2 major systems out there

the first uses the buttons on the steering wheel , and on the display it will say oil life 35% or change engine oil. ect.. see the first picture

the second you will have a square box on your display that flashes your warning messages and it will say change engine oil.


To reset the first one hit the button that looks like the fuel station. untill you get the oil life 35% or what ever it says. then press and hold the arrow untill your oil life resets.


TO reset the second one turn your key to the on postion press the gas pedal to the floor 3 times within 5 second i believe. the change engine oil light will then start to flash i like to wait 30 second then i turn the key off and up the door

this will help you reset your oil lights with out huntting though your manual for it

only 2 picture i could find are of the frist sytem i wrote about
