Exhaust Manifold Dump Size?

I have a 1964 C20 truck with a 283 V8. I am going to have a new exhaust system installed and I wanted to know what the exhaust pipe size was coming out of the stock ram horn manifolds. I was thinking it was either 2.0" or 2.25".

I may order some mufflers before I take it to the muffler shop.

Thanks

Re: Exhaust Manifold Dump Size?

Most are 2". IIRC but I have 2.5 Corvette Rams.

I thought most non-vette 350's had the 2.25" openings. I figured a stock truck 283 might be a little smaller.

Re: Exhaust Manifold Dump Size?

The stock ones are 2" dumps....but you can "step up" to 2.25" just after the flange gasket....I'm doing that exact thing right now
