72' Chevy question

Ive seen a few pics in my search yieldings, but my question isnt awnsered yet...

Can i simply add a notch and bag on the stock rear links and sit low.. Im not totaly beat up on laying out yet.. Just want to lay low for now.. Any input?

And I think the front is just a simple bolt on setup.. from S/D maybe?

Yes, you can run the stock 2-link like I'm doing with a SD notch....adding blocks will give more drop if needed. Let me see if I can dig up a photo of mine on the two link without the notch....also keep in mind there are TONS of options on bagging, its all about preference and style..this site has a ton of info...so look around

You should check out the Texas CGITC in my sig

IMO, you dont gain much from a bolt in notch & you will have to cut a hole in your bed floor for the pumpkin to poke through

If I were you, I'd run some Slammed Specialties RE-6's in the rear with no notch, unless you dont mind having a hole in your bed

I dont like holes in my bed, so I didnt put in a notch when I bagged Sinister
And with Killer I did a frame Z & am raising the bed floor

Also, blocks will only allow the axle to sit higher when the bags are at optimal height, not dump any lower

You mean that if i put the blocks on iit will not allow the truck to sit lower?

The only time i have used blocks was on the rear of a s10..

Here is a pic of how low you can get your truck without doing some form of major surgery. By major surgery I mean no Z'd frame, no step notch, no drop member, no hole cut out of the bed floor. This is a simple and easy setup using the factory trailing arms. Hope this helps.

Yes, mine are airlift, I like them a lot but i'm prob gonna switch to the Slam Specialties cause they are huge and ride smooth as hell....

20x10 w/275-40 out back. 18x8 w 255/45 up front

If you're going to notch it, go with the step notch from SD...I think its only like 100.00, It would be a good investment, cause once you start going low, its only a matter of time before you want LOWER!!!
