Need help moving a part from TN to OH
I am interested in buying a cab/bed lift attachment for an engine hoist from another board member and he is in Clarksville, TN and I would like assistance in bringing it North to Toledo.
If we can get it to Columbus - I have some friends there that can bring it up for the holidays... Is anybody coming North through this route in the coming weeks. Item is roughly 4.5 feet by 1 foot... Please PM me or post here if we can get this thing moving in this direction - I won't need to use it until spring - but I am sure the seller would like to see his $ before that - Thanks! |

Re: Need help moving a part from TN to OH
Greyhound would be your best option, and if it is that small they are really cheap!! The seller can just shrink wrap it up and ship it without a box, easy peasy...
Seriously you could probably have it shipped for under $20..

I have a bud who may be able to do this for about $20.
Let me see if he will do this, if he will I will post here.

Re: Need help moving a part from TN to OH
if you want to pay for shipping I can wrap it up in shrink wrap and go to fedex. I'll weigh it also.

Re: Need help moving a part from TN to OH
I've shipped a few large items... just try to get it as short as possible even if the weight seems high. You can get a quote on FEDEX.com...
heck, I broke down a blazer rear seat at 60lbs and shipped it for less than $30 I think...

Re: Need help moving a part from TN to OH
lks dcvn ... I sent you a pm on 12-9 @ 9:37am offerring to pick it up and deliver to Columbus Ohio for free. You didn't call so I figured you found a way to ship it up north. I was in the Nashville and Knoxville Tn. area and at this time I am on my way back to Ohio. At least I tried to do a good deed.

Re: Need help moving a part from TN to OH
I've got it boxed up except for the Main piece and two of the longest pieces. I'm going to go try to find a box for them now.

Re: Need help moving a part from TN to OH
Some where off I-65 at a hotel working on reports before I head back up north. I was in the area and thought I could help out but I didn't get a reply so I thought all was well. Hey....it's the thought that counts.

Re: Need help moving a part from TN to OH
You had mentioned bringing it up to Zanesville - I don't know a soul in Zanesville to pick it up...
I appreciate it though. No harm, no foul. |

Re: Need help moving a part from TN to OH
I live in Zanesville which is just west of Columbus Ohio. As a matter of fact I'll be in Bowling Green Ohio next week. Oh well. Sometimes things are not meant to be. Maybe I wasn't clear in my email so that might have been my mistake.

Geeeeee.....I would have but you didn't offer free food? By the way...Nashville weather this afternoon was the pits! Rain, sleet, and snow. I thought I was back up in Ohio.

Re: Need help moving a part from TN to OH
**UPDATE**
B.K.S. picked up the 2 boxes who then took it them to NC with some other parts for badboy007 who then brought it to Cincy, Ohio for a bit and he (badboy007) just delivered them to me at my work on his way up to Ann Arbor. I can't thank you each enough for this...this is just another reason why I love this board. If any of you need anything up here - feel free to send me a PM - and if I can help - I will lend a hand. Take Care! |
