My quick/ budget 5.3 69 Chevy C10 Project --update 1-20

Just picked this up last week, brought it in the garage yesterday. Cleaned up a decent mileage 5.3 and painted it. Set it in tonight for mockup. Plan is to have it back out, engine compartment painted and engine/ trans bolted in by the end of the coming week. The truck is from Cali and is pretty clean with some not so great paint. Its tubbed with a 12 bolt/ ladder bars/ coilovers and 31x18.5 tires. Thinking about painting it satin black, maybe some flames...

Sorry for the pics....cellphone...lost my camera somewhere......

That is a great looking truck I may have a bigBlock in mine but there is something about that 5.3 that just sets it off I wish my engine looked as good... That paint looks like it will clean up good for being what it is Nice Score.......

that is 1 awsome truck meaning it has much potential. think about my offer. good luck!!! tell me you stole it from the previous owner that'll make my day. would like to see the finished product though. it'll be 1 bad azz truck w that eng too. you may just decide to keep it. here in MD they all got rust or they're 5k and up phipp

I would have to measure them, but I was just under there and they appear to be a standard double adjustable unit like from any kit out there

I just looked through the receipts that came with the truck and its shows the ladder bars as being 32". It has a basic 2x3 crossmember

Re: My quick/ budget 5.3 69 Chevy C10 Project

What kind of accessory setup are you going to use with the LS1 intake. How are you going to run the water pump out let. I like the color. It is a 5.5L truck engine right??

Re: My quick/ budget 5.3 69 Chevy C10 Project

It is a 5.3, I will be custom building the brackets to mount the stock truck power steering, a CS style alternator and loop under the water pump back to the stock tensioner most likely

Love it

Leave it orange dude, WAY too many people just throw black on trucks to sell em & is degrading to the nice black trucks IMO

I do my own swap wiring with stock harnesses.....

There are 5 vehicles on my property right now, 4 are LS powered, and none came that way from the factory
