is it just me or does the bed look off on it like theres some rot underneath?
Gentleman jim was a package of options colors and decals used as a ploy to sell more trucks... if you check out Bigblock73's site you can find out more info

Good call. You can tell it's a GMC by the emblem on the tailgate band and see some writing on the side of the bed. Maybe the 4x4 stepside is a Desert Fox.

This isn't really true. Compared to all the other special edition trucks sold by GMC from 73-87, the Gentleman Jim was the most special. They had 8 tracks with stereo that other trucks didn't have, the all had bucket seats and a tach dash plus the special floor mats.

Its true they didn't have any special performance options but it was a little more than just paint and stickers.
