Exclamation header reducers?

ok, so i put some headers on my 82 swb with a swapped 350sbc. Headers have a standard 3" flange but i want to put my stock pipes back on temporarily but need to find the right reducers. My stock pipes are 2 1/4". What header reducers ( 3" to ?) should I go with for a snug, non leaking fit without welding? Any help? I need it to just slide on and clamp. Should i get 2 1/8" or 2 1/4"?

Re: header reducers?

i dont think you will get a snug non leaking fit without welding. i'd just have a exhaust shop do it the right way because even if you swedged a reducer on to your exhaust and clamped it, as soon as you start the motor it will break it lose and make it leak
