CA smog legal intkae manifolds?

Which intake manifolds would be legal for a 1976 350 in CA? The truck doesn't have egr, but the 2 manifolds I have seen that say they are legal for that year do have egr. Even if the truck doesn't have egr and the other version of the manifold is exaclty the same do you still have to get the EGR one?

basically the intake needs to support whatever smog equipment your truck is supposed to have. they include EGR, exhaust crossover (thats probably the one that makes the others "illegal"), etc.

If you know your truck doesnt need egr to pass, then in my experience, pretty much any manifold will be fine. Ive seen some picky smog techs but none that have ever said anything about the exhaust crossover. youd be hard pressed to find two in a row that will fail your visual because of it, if you get my drift....

hope this helps

Well, the 2 I was looking at were the weiand action plus, and the Edelbrock performer. I am pretty sure they both have the exhaust crossover, but for both of them the version that is smog legal for 73 and up has the EGR. I guess if the truck doesn't have egr it wouldn't really matter though.
