Cab removal advice
I have a couple weeks free coming up and will be painting the 55. I also need to install a left lower cowl patch. Should I remove the body? What all is involved in such an undertaking? I figure the front fenders, inner fenders and such need to come off anyway to paint it right, so I'll be pretty close anyway.
Any help would be appreciated. |

Re: Cab removal advice
If you are painting the truck it would be better in my opinion if the front were removed and the bed. This would give you plenty of access to the cab corner with the cab on the frame.
How good a paint job are you planning? To do it well you should problem blow it all apart, doors off, rear fenders off, hood off, etc. If you are doing a same color repaint you might not want to do all this but it would still help in getting a better product. Got pictures? |
