Exclamation Brand New Aluminum Radiator

It has never been installed; just taken out of box for inspection. Still have all packing/shipping material.

Radiator is specifically for '67-'72 Chevy Blazer and trucks (OEM replacement).

$195 plus the ride.

Located in Boise, ID

I have Paypal.

Re: Brand New Aluminum Radiator

Who makes it? Is it a 4 core radiator? Does it mount with the factory brackets?

Classic Radiators.

They're stock replacement fit.

From the eBay auction where I bought it:

Quote:
NEW, ALL ALUMINUM 1967-1972
BLAZER & JIMMY HEAVY DUTY RADIATOR.

THE CORE IS A MODERN STYLE HIGH DENSITY 2 ROW CORE WITH AROUND 2000 MORE FINS THAN THE ORIGINAL RADIATOR. THIS WILL IMPROVE COOLING AND REPLACE YOUR 2,3 OR 4 ROW COPPER RADIATOR.
THIS IS HOW RACING RADIATORS ARE MADE TODAY.

The eBay page.

Re: Brand New Aluminum Radiator

How wide are the core tubes?
I think most aluminum radiators are 1 in tubes, but some are wider, (and some narrower I'm sure).

My Griffen has 1-1/4 in tubes.
I'll do some measuring and see if I could use my Griffen in my Sonoma. If so I'd be interested in yours.

Re: Brand New Aluminum Radiator

CDA maybe this will help. I think I bought the same one from ebay. The top factory mounts work but it could look better. Here's a few pictures of mine mounted. I'm going to replace the top mounts as soon as the rest of the truck is together.

What is the extra hole for? The one with the black cap on the right side.

I'd think it'd be the return from the heater core but it looks awful small.

Any dimensions on this thing? (H,W, core size)

It's not the heater return it's for a sensor. Mine came with it. Not something you have to use.

I would like to use it for the steam port on an LS engine, but I want to make sure it actually goes into the water jacket of the radiator and not into the transmission cooler.

Re: Brand New Aluminum Radiator

I bet it can be used for that hart-Rod. The only concern is that it would actually flow water through the steam tube. If I remember, doesn't the steam tube have to come in to the radiator above the water line and release into the system. If it is below the water line wouldn't it just put water in the tube? It could be used for a fan controller.

Re: Brand New Aluminum Radiator

The stock mounts will work with some work. What we did is cut the rubber isolater down some so that the mounts would hold it flat against the top of the radiator. Then the filler neck side had to be cut to clear the cap. Once done, the top mounts sat flush with the radiator and it looks good.

Mine is a 4 core version, cools like a mother.

Re: Brand New Aluminum Radiator

I emailed the Ebay Seller about the extra port on the passenger side, and this was his comment....

That would be a heater return.
It's there if you need it but if you don't you don't have to hook it up either and it'll still work fine.
