69 cab sandblasting

What is a reasonable rate to have a 69 cab sandblasted and primed with epoxy? I the cab gutted and all undercoating scraped off. Thanks

Probably not much unless the blaster really knows what they are doing.Sandblasting really builds heat and can warp panels. If you have it blasted you really want to use a media. It will strip paint but may not get all the rust.IDK on the priming.

Re: 69 cab sandblasting

I have had a few quotes on media blasting (media being better on the metal then sand).
Between $125 to $300.
I got an entire cab and chasis media blasted for $250 the last time that I had it done.

69 cab blasted in ca, $400.00
cab being sealed runs $300.00.
Make sure the blaster knows what
he is doing they can warp the metal
real bad with to much pressure.

Yes they need to know what they are doing ,check work they have done for others. The 70 and 68 trucks i have now i am going to h ave parts of them done that they cant warp.

I did mine myself for $30 in sand used my company compressor and sand pot. you have to work about 4 feet back and dont stay in one area very long. Mine came out great with no warpage. I used a 30 grit sand and sprayed with sanding primer and kept it inside til it went to the paint shop. had to replace both rockers after blasting due to rust being exposed.
