73-87 djm drop spindles on a 72 c10

I wanting to go 3" djm drop spindles and cut front springs
I have searched and read for a while.

72 lwb with factory disk brakes

Just need clarification- Do I just need to swap ball joints to 73-87 or do I need to 73-87 swap tie rods also? That is where I'm confused.

Thanks in Advance,

Chris

You can swap the outer tie rod and the ball joints to make this work since you have a 72.

I think one of the ball joints is actually the same. (lower?) Maybe someone will clarify this. (or ask your local parts house guy)
I did it years ago before 71-72 spindles were available and I only had to swap one of the ball joints. If they need replaced,... just use the 73-87 ball joints since they are cheaper anyway.

Swap the upper ball joints and outer tie-rods. Make sure you get the 1.25" rotor version so you can re-use your existing brakes...
