Question 71 Blazer Door windows Question

I am in the works of restoring my Blazer very slowly haha and was wondering whats up with the roll up windows ? I apologize for not having pics at the moment but i will try to enplane what i am talking about and post pics later. I am not ise if this is a normal "Common" issue or specific to me.

Both of my windows roll up and down fine and i just got new seals for the doors and window for better closure but even with the seals on both sides i have about 1/2 inch gap to fit the seal properly and about 1/8 inch away from the seal all together. Both windows are the same and simply will not roll up anymore in fact i don't believe the window can go up any further anyways since there is the black window stopper at the top of the door. So my question am i missing something ? is there a piece or gap filler i am missing? I hope someone knows what i am talking about and may be able to offer a solution to my issue.

Thank you all in advance.

Re: 71 Blazer Door windows Question

Well, first you should not expect the door windows to seal against the top very well. This is the reason they dropped the full convertible top after 1975. You can loosen the window tracks in the door shell and there is some adjustment so that the window will come up at a slightly different angle, allowing you to bring the tops of the windows in a little at the back (unless they are pushed all the way over already).

I have the same problem with my 71' I'm working on. Had the same thought as you and finally just gave up and moved on to the next thing.
