Bench Seat Bracket Bolts - WHAT THE ^%&)#*!!
So I've been working on Chevy's for a few years now, and I've never seen anything like these bolt heads. I'm talking about the bolts that mount the bench seat brackets to the bench seat. The head kind of looks like an "8" - too narrow to drive a 3/8" extension into....
What have you guys used in the past to remove these bolts? Or, have you just lost patience (pretty much where I am) and cut them off? Or is there a socket I can buy? Thanks in advance! Last edited by sighlurr; 12-30-2008 at 07:59 PM. |

Re: Bench Seat Bracket Bolts - wht the %&)#*!!
are they clutch heads. you can try a screwdriver to break them loose. they still sell the driver for that. just ask your parts guy he should know.

Set of three sized drivers used to be about $15 from after market places.
