C10 & F100 Faceoff - *WARNING: Ford Material*

Snapped a few quick pics tonight. The blue '64 F100 is mine while the red/white '65 C10 is my friend's (montana54 here on the boards). We just got his truck running right and took both trucks out for the first time. We had some fun spinning the trucks around in the parking lots, then we took these shots. God it was freezing outside!

It was good finally seeing both trucks out and driving!

Check out how the body lines of the two trucks line up.

I think it's cool. Weather it a Ford or not I think it awsome to see these old trucks out on the road and not rotting away in some field somewhere. The pics were awsome. thanks for them. Here in a few months my 66 will finally be legal to drive and I was thinking about doing basically the same as you with pics but with both my 66 Chevy and my 78 Camaro

I have always liked those year f%*d trucks, I wonder how the f*&d grille would look in a 60-66 chev/gmc.

Is it just me or has the chevy/gmc truck always had a better heater the F bombs. I like some of F's too but there 6's seem a little less than chevy

I even like the bull dog 57 -60(57 being the best grille) fords but the seating ergonomics are horrible like you are driving with the steering wheel between your knees.

Actually his heater doesn't work, so we haven't compared the two yet. But I know that my truck has the Ford deluxe heater installed, and it REALLY pumps heat into the cab once the engine gets warmed up. Even on the coldest days I have to turn the heat off every few minutes just cause it can get too hot.

To be honest, his truck runs a lot better than mine with a rebuilt 350 and all. I still have the original y-block 292 that's getting pretty worn out.

I hate to admit it but most of the Ford trucks are decent until the 97 up fisher price years. My dad has a 66 short bed Ford custom, 351 cleveland, car 4spd I would love to have. The heater does suck in it by the way lol.

Re: C10 & F100 Faceoff - *WARNING: Ford Material*

the chevy (to me) looks good stock or slammed, where the ford looks so much better slammed........improves the look immensely

i had a '64 F'er in high school.
had a 351 windsor, 3 on the tree, and a 9 inch rear diff with the spiders welded together, needless to say it was a fun truck. few years later I got a '66 with a 350/350 combo and never looked back

very cool trucks. I have always had a soft spot for those era ford trucks. My grandpa has a 66 ford f250 he bought brand new and still has it to this day. If I get this 66 chevy I'm looking at I'm going to have to take some pics like that.

I have to say I like the Chevy more since well its what I own, but its amazing how close the lines on the Chevy and old Ford are.

Its like one or the other stole the idea from the other.
