WTB Panel/Suburban-lower rear cross member
Hi everyone,
I need the lower rear cross member where the Barn doors latch. I'm in the middle of some body work and discovered both ends of my part are severly rotten. I have a '68 Chevy Panel but i believe a 67-72 panel or burban "barn door" type cross member will work. I can try and post a picture of what I need if my description is lacking. Any help or advice is welcome as I am new to all this and may have over looked an obvious source. Thanks, Rob |

Re: WTB Panel/Suburban-lower rear cross member
I have one already removed from a Suburban. It is rust free and only has one small dent on the R/H side. Easy fix. $75.00 plus shipping. WES

Re: WTB Panel/Suburban-lower rear cross member
That's great Wes. I actually need the cross member piece that goes inside that part as well and probably need it more desperately. I believe it's welded in? It sticks out about 4'' either end and kind looks like angle iron with bolt holes (4) at the ends? I'm not sure about the bolt holes 'cause mine's rotten. If you have any ideas or that part as well I'd be appreciative. The part in your picture is better than mine so I'm interested in that regardless. I'll "pm" you or call your shop tomorrow and talk about shipping, which ever is easier for you.
Thanks, Rob. p.s. my first wtb and..... success. gotta love this site! |
