Need help w/ tire size - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I am planning on installing at least 31/10.50/15 on my 72 lwb. Would 33/12.50/15 fit comfortably? Suspension has new coil springs and shocks and is not lifted. Does anyone have profile pics of their trucks with these tire sizes?

heres a picture of mine, its a 235/75/15 on a 15x8 rally, the tire is about 27 inches tall.. i know 31s will fit but i dont knwo about bigger

the 31's fill the wheel wells up on a 2wd model..Not sure but I think you might have problems with any larger. Not sure about a 4x4 though.
I had tested for size on my 70 with the 31's and I think I would have rubbed occassionally if I pushed it hard, but mine is original springs and old shocks.

The 33's will not fit without some modifications and possibly even a lift. However the 31's will fit.

Agreed on the 31's. 33's will fit on a 4x4 OK. I like the 265 75 16 on my truck which are almost same size as the 31 10.5's.

My truck is near stock height, except for overloader shocks in the rear. Tires are 31X10.5X15, pics in the link below.

I run 32's and 31's on my 2WD.. they fill the wheel well but I've never rubbed.

id say you probably could get away with 32s patrick, sinse you have a 3/4 ton

However the 31's will fit. __________________ 1969 Blazer: 350/350, 4X4, HEI, Edlebrock carb/intake, dual flowmasters, np205, 3:07's and the rest is mostly stock. The front end disc swap is finally complete 2002 Z71 Tahoe. CAI, Flowmaster 40, Silverstars in high, low and fogs and a bunch of mods (upgrades) inside and out.
