What size tire do I need?

I have a 65 swb with a rear end out of a 72, I know that the rear end is wider than oe. I have lowered the truck 3" in the front and 5" out back, I am going with 15x8's all the way around. My question is this, what is the biggest tire you would put on this setup? or should I ask what are some tire size combo's. I wouldn't mind the same size all the way around, but then again I like the fatty, skinny look as well? I was thinking 235/60/15 up front and 275/75/15 in the rear. What is your honest opinion? I appreciate and welcome any advice.

Thanks in advance,

Re: What size tire do I need?

I've never seen a 275-75-15; 275-60's.... yes. A 275 should fit fine w/the correct back-spaced wheel.

W/a 3/5 drop, a 215-75 up front on a 15x7 & a 255-70 on a 15x8 out back would look nice.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

Re: What size tire do I need?

Thanks guys, I went with 245/60 BFG Radials on all four corners. After I give it an altitude adjustment, I'll post some pics!

Re: What size tire do I need?

Did you ever get any pics of your wheel and tire setup? I'm looking to buy some tires right now and was curious how yours look.
