steering linkage ? question

does anyone here know if the center link, (that long bar that goes in front of the crossmember, that is the center portion of the steering linkage)
is the same on drum brake and disc brake trucks?

mine is disc, and its bad. i can get a good one for free from a drum brake truck, but i have got to pull it myself. i need to know if its worth doing before i go to all the trouble of lying on the cold ground for an hour to pull it out.
can someone help me out here?
thanks, Tony

Re: steering linkage ? question

The disc brake trucks have larger tie rod ends. You will need the adapter sleeves.

Re: steering linkage ? question

Not the same the tie rods will not fit from 70> 67, holes are different size, you must have 71-72- and I think the 73 is different as well.
