Cool NOS Hooker supercomp Headers $350 shipped

I have had these for several years now and my truck is still far from ready for them. I don't want to sell but economy forces my hand. Not sure how old they really are, anyway the box was in pretty bad shape so I tossed it back when I got them. I didn't think I would ever sell them to be honest. I think it was from late 70s early 80s but the headers are still perfect and have never been mounted. Box said fits 68-72 chevy truck/blazer 4X4. I would like $350 shipped I believe this is a fair price for something this rare if you guys disagree please PM me your thoughts, don't flame me. If consensus says I'm way off I will re-evaluate.

2807 is stamped in the flange.

***UPDATED***
called Hooker these are 30 year old headers last cataloged in 1977
67-72 Chevy/GMC 4 wheel drive 1/2, 3/4 and 1 ton truck, Suburban and Blazer fits AT and manual (not manual colom shift)

Pictures

Thanks,
James

Re: Rare NOS Hooker supercomp Headers

I would suggest pictures. You will get interest, but no takers on a 400.00 set of headers without some quality pictures to show people what they are buying. Are they coated at all? This is just a suggestion.
Shawn

Also. Be careful throwing the word 'RARE' out around here. That word is the cause of more controversy. Maybe use the word limited production.

Cool I totally understand I'll get some pictures up later tonight.

They are not ceramic coated they have a silver finish to them.

Again though I am more than willing to hear what people have to say and maybe I'm completely wrong. I've tried to look up the part # with no luck if someone else knows how to look that up that would be awesome.

Re: Rare NOS Hooker supercomp Headers

Not the exact number but looks like the closest application??

Super Comp Full Length – 2WD Truck

UPC #: 700414008707

Hooker has long been known for its dominance of the drag racing circuit, but did you know that Hooker can help the off–road enthusiast scorch the deserts, mountains and swamps of the world? Hooker Headers use long tube lengths and long transition Collectors to produce monstrous lowmid range torque without sacrificing top end horsepower. Each Hooker header is designed to provide the finest fit and most durable construction available on the market today. Hooker offers a complete line of full length and emission compatible Headers for the off–road enthusiast to choose from. Whether it be a rock crawling Jeep or a 1000 mile desert racer, Hooker can bring your performance expectations to a new level.
68–87 Chevy/GMC 1/2, 3/4 & 1–Ton Truck, 69–91 Blazer/Yukon/Jimmy/Suburban/1–Ton Crew Cab: 265–400, Full Length Tube Size 1.625" x 30", Collector Size 2.5", Collector Length 8", Port Shape: Same As Port, Black High Temp Paint

Please call Hooker tech service at 270–781–9741 for additional information regarding ceramic coated exhaust products.

Tuned-length primary tubes for maximum exhaust scavenging and velocity
Mandrel-bent tubing for smooth exhaust flow
Light weight & sturdy 18 gauge tubing

Re: Rare NOS Hooker supercomp Headers

OK so check this out I called Hooker Headers to look up the part # as I couldn't find anything. took 20 mins for him to find the part # he had to go all the way back to 1977 catalog to find the part # and it fits as follows.

67-72 Chevy/GMC 1/2, 3/4 ton 4X4 AT or Manual (will not fit manual colom shift)

so I think this may be concidered rare as NOS from 1977 thoughts?

Re: Rare NOS Hooker supercomp Headers

Your headers are probably about 20 years old with the nickle silver finish. I run the 2808 on mine and they fit great but the finish flaked off after awhile. Here is a set that ended 4 days ago on ebay that I was watching.

The item number was 120359095687

Re: Rare NOS Hooker supercomp Headers

The other thing I noticed is all the newer Hooker Headers they are all for 2 wheel drive did not see any 4X4 headers. which limits the market but would think makes these harder to find.

I looked at those and those are hooker competition not super comps difference is the standard headers vs the tuned equal length headers.

Have you ever held them in place to see how low they hang?

I thought they were both tuned equal length headers with the only difference being the Super Comps are made out of thinner 18 gauge metal for weight savings as opposed to the thicker 16 gauge metal in the Comps? I doubt it matters much though. Those are in great shape for 30 years old!

New supercomp headers without coating start at around $450

I thought $400 for NOS that have some sweet bends to them would be a good place to start and I also said if you thought differently to PM me. I'm not sure what they are worth to be honest I paid $350 for them 8 years ago. And this is not an auction format I'm open to offers as well. But at $400 they are still cheaper than the new ones and these were made specifically for our year trucks not 67-87 like most headers are.

Re: Rare NOS Hooker supercomp Headers

I'm assuming the part number for 4x4 is 2807 compared my 2808 for 2 wheel drive. If that is the only difference, somebody will be getting headers that clear the frame, starter, etc. Another thing is plug access is easy and so are the bolts I love mine and plan to get them ceramic coated this year at Airborne. Bump for ya
