Big window to Small window
My truck is a 67 with a small back window and the cab I have has tons of rust in the roof, rain gutters, entire floor, rockers, cab corners, fire wall, ect
I can only find clean big back window cabs for sale granted they need rocker repair but I would like to keep the small back window. Has anyone done this before? Is it to much work? Thoughts? Thanks

Re: Big window to Small window
Got any measurements? Are the windows the same height? I know the width is different, but if the height is the same, I don't think it would be to bad.

Re: Big window to Small window
maybe think of it this way make the truck your hobby that way it will not be work and it will be something fun.Thats how I look at it I have a new floor in my truck, side kicks, rockers ,cab corners, repaird my fenders ya I could have just bought new ones but I have the originals to the truck still I learnd lots. Hay it's metal if you do it wrong just cut it apart and do it again,it's fun not work and in the end you can say with pride made in my back yard.

Rob, The windows are different in both directions. Wilson: It is doable but the double wall construction of the cab would make it tough. I would take it apart at the seam that goes across the top rear of the cab and below the rear window where there is a break in the body line. LockDoc

Re: Big window to Small window
There are two ways to look at doing it. One would be to see if replacement panels for the back of the cab available for the 67 small window. Other than that it is either cut the inner and outer back panels out of the old cab and transfer them to the new cab or cut a large enough section out of the old cab to use as a filler for the big window space.
The first thing I would do is get the info needed to see exactly how the cab was assembled when new (how the pieces went together) and go from there. |

Re: Big window to Small window
Cool thanks for the replies guys. The other way i was thinking of doing it would be to cut at the two front pillars and and some where under the back window.
and just swap roofs with the back window included? We will see when i get the cabs over here.
