Re: Tubing benders..?

I use a model 3 also... with a few custom mods. It's a great bender for the money and can easily be upgraded.

Re: Tubing benders..?

I also have the JD2 model 3 and it has been great for over 10yrs and counting. I converted mine over to full hydro about 4yrs ago but it worked great before as well.

Then I just picked up a nice tubing slip roller for doing slight bends and curves so I can follow body lines better or get the roof bars to flow with the headliner better then a straight piece.

Re: Tubing benders..?

I have been using a Pro Tools Model 5 for a while and like it. Here is a link to it:
http://www.pro-tools.com/105.htm

I have dies that work from 1/2" upto 1.625" now. I have mostly done small stuff but plan on the 1.5-2" stuff this year for my '65 C-10.

Re: Tubing benders..?

If you are only going to do up to 90* bends, the Low Buck Tools one works well. I have had mine for a number of years and have built a couple cages. $510 with one die (I have the 1.5" die).
