to take the engine out to put a cam in?
i dont really want to take my engine out!

it is easy to swap cams in the truck...just pull radiator and condenser if ya have one

things to take off:
radiator grille
a/c condenser
radiator
then you have perfect view of the front of the engine and you can proceed.

Don't forget to pull the fuel pump, ya won't get the cam out unless you do. Could spend hrs. trying to figure out why the cam only comes out a few inches, or so I have been told...
