A arm rebuild ??
Either Im retarded or just flat out stupid cause I have looked for the past 2 hours searchen for a post about rebuilding A arms and have come up dry. My question is how exactly do you take the top A arm apart where the cross shaft goes through the A arm? It looks as if you could unbolt it but I tryed that with no luck (didn't get really crazy with it). Any info would be so helpful as well as a pic or two.

Re: A arm rebuild ??
Clamp the shaft into a vice real tight and get crazy with it. Like large socket, breaker bar, and 4 foot cheater pipe crazy.

Re: A arm rebuild ??
The bushings screw into the arms, keeping the shaft centered between them. They are big threads and can be very stubborn after all these years being screwed in place tightly.
Ain't nothing gentle about changing these things.

Re: A arm rebuild ??
Ok I got the top ones apart kinda sad looking process (crescent wrench with a 4" & 10" 1/2" drive exstentions and a 1 1/4" socket) but the bottm ones are looking to be about 2" nut heads.
