Diff between 1 wire alt and internally regulated alt ??????
Can someone please explain . also how to wire them up . trying to figure out the mess of wires right now and want to know what wires to rid of . I have the factory externally regulated alt wiring right know . Oh the wiring harness is laying on the floor so it easy to sort all the wires out.

I have installed a internal regulated on my 1969 SWB. I just converted the plug that goes into the alt, and did the jumper routne for the plug at the old external regulator. I know that some wires can be deleted, but I do not know what ones.

How did you get the gauge to work ? where do you run the wire (s) from ?
