floor shifters
i have a 67 chev with a b and m floor shifter which i do not like.the transmission is a 700r4.is there something simple i can use,even from a wrecker?

Lokar is supposed to make a real cool one for or trucks....I have the hurst shifter that looks like a verical gate 4 speed.. I just like the rachet capability

With a 700r4 you could a stock column shifter. I have heard with the stock shifter you cannot shift into L1 but that is not big problem. I am sure you you could modify it to work. If you are like me and just put it in drive,you will never know the difference.

I've got a '68 with a 700r4 and a 3 in the tree column. With the Lokar shifter, the 3 speed column works "ok". I'm going to an auto column one of these days. Floor shifters tend to stink when they mount to the transmission. All kinds of nasty vibrations find their way into the cab.
