retro68,

up to what years. I think the one I'm thinking of is from an 87'. will that work for you? Is your money plus shipping or is shipping included with $75.00 - $100.00 depending on condition? I'll PM you later with my number. Thanks, Harry

He's referring to a tilt steering column. Yes, they can be used in our 67-72 Chevy Trucks.

Re: Paying cash for van tilts

I don't know if it matters, but the van tilts up to 79(pretty sure that's the last year for key on dash) will work by shortening the steering shaft. Looks original unless you get under the dash and look.

Thanks for the year update. I was not sure of the cut off date. So I will go with that for now and request pictures first. Thanks again. If you find out different let me know.

Re: Paying cash for van tilts

the only reason I'm not positive on the date is that I did find a keyless one in an 81 or 82. generally, 79 is the last year.

Thanks for the info. What is the name of the swapmeet? Is it big 3 as you have said. Do you have a phone number or more info?

Re: Paying cash for van tilts

I have a tilt column, I'm told out of a van. It came with a truck purchase. It has the GM rounded electrical plug. non-keyed column, BUT,... it has the bulging around the turn-sig & tilt levers.... If interested, PM me... I will get pictures for you. I do not need the price you listed for it...

Here's three I have. The flash makes them look a little dirty. They are complete with no rust or damage. One even has the cruise lever.

Do you have the wire harness plates that are not on the tilts? Is the shift lever pin holes loose or tight?

I had to go check again:
1. Yes, I do have all of the wire plates.

2. The pins are snug. The holes are not egg shaped or sloppy, but you should almost always peen the pins to make sure they are tight.
