Blazer Gas Tank

I recently purchased a Blazer Gas Tank and I decided to go a different way. I just pulled it out of the box to take a look at it and it has never had gas in it. It comes with the tank straps, and the sending unit for the gas gauge. $205 shipped. Thanks. David. Picture:

Re: Blazer Gas Tank

may have to take mine down and find more wrong with it than i think. does this one have a pick up tube on it or is that with the sending unit. does it have some kind of filter in the tank i've been warned about junk in the tank stopping it up and plan on siphling it out to clean it out. if all else fails i may be interested after i see how good or bad it is. i'll be back in touch after this weekend.

The pickup tube is with the sending unit. There also is a filter in the tank.

Re: Blazer Gas Tank

Alright. I know this is crude, but you could cut the sock off and put a filter outside of the tank.

Re: Blazer Gas Tank

What was in the tank? Rust, or just dirt?

Re: Blazer Gas Tank

The previous owner of my 71 SWB put a gas door on the passenger side of the bed. It seems most of the conversions I've seen go to the left side of the bed. Is there any reason this tank couldn't be roated 180*? Would the frame need to be notched for the filler hose/tube?
