Question Question for you guys running TH700R4?

Did you modify your indicator, or does somebody make them for these trucks, that has the P R O D 2 1 type of indicator?

didn't modify it, my pointer lands on the D when I'm in 4th, rarely ever shift to the other 3 forward gears...

I once saw an indicator for our trucks that had the OD / D / 2 / 1 indicators...I should've bookmarked it...I think I found it on a site in a thread regarding aftermarket gauges in the stock clusters...

I simply do not have an indicator on my truck. The shift detents in the column work just fine with the overdrive. I believe that Dakota Digital has an indicator (L.E.D. or digital) that would work. Pretty pricey if i remember correctly (which is why i am indicatorless)

Running the stock 3sp column with a Lokar setup. I've been driving long enough to more or less guess where Drive is so its not a problem. Now when my wife gets in the truck (once every couple of years) it's a challenge since you have to pull the shifter towards you like going into reverse or first on the 3 speed column.

It's almost an antitheft device....

Way too much money and time..But it's a hobby.

I was looking at the column in a chevy van,(with auto od ) and it appeared to me that the indicator from that column might work.
Don't know for sure, but might be worth checking out.

I just put one on my 69. I got it from Bowtie overdrives. I-DID-IT makes it. I removed the old housing and the old indicator window. I had to grind the new one a little to slide in the housing from the back. It looks great and the light still shines through it.
