Took my honey on a little 12 hour road trip lol
I purchased a burb headliner from cheyenne10 (Bob) months ago and haven't found the time to pick it up. Recently Frizzle Fry (Mike) needed someone to pick up a rear end in Snohomish (15 minutes from where I live) and maybe figure out a board relay to get it down to him in Hillsboro Oregon.
I figured hey, perfect...Ill grab the rear end and drop it off at his place on the way down or way back from Bobs place in Eugene. Plus as an added thing Brad (Brad lol) needed some work done on an old printer (I fix printers and copiers) he left at Livrats (Mark) place and I needed to pick up some wheels at Marks place anyway so I could grab the printer, fix it and then drop it off in Portland for Brad....Confused? Well my honey said she would like to go with me...lol. Left at 8 am got home at 8 30 pm. She said never again. Bobs place is over 5 hours away. When I tossed the burb headliner in the back of the Trailblazer she was like...we drove over five hours to pick up some old card board? Some of the ladies just dont get it lol. I got to see Frizzles Tahoe burb....very very cool. I also checked out his other projects. I cant believe the vision and skills Mike has...its crazy. Unfortunatly I didnt get to take care of Brads stuff...Ill get it handled this week Brad and just UPS it down to you...sorry.

I am confused.Ya got a map er sumpthin?
You let her be a part of one our sacred parts relay/pick-up rituals and she shows no appreciation?I`d tell her that was her last all day trip for parts she`ll ever come on with you! Uh...wait,she already said she wouldn`t want to anyway.Hmmm...nothin`you can do but roam alone I guess. At least you won`t argue over her wanting to ride along next time.

CG the next time you have to pick up parts in Vegas,San Francisco, or somewhere romantic or where family is,she will never mention this trip and for your own good you shouldn't either. It's called selective memory and all women have it.They select what to remember and how to remember it.

Re: Took my honey on a little 12 hour road trip lol
LOL guys...She was a good sport. I dont think she realized its not a sight seeing trip, its a get on the road, get your stuff and get back home trip. At least now next time Im gone and she wonders why it took so long she will understand.
Yeah no pics Andy. Bob wasnt home, he left my parts out for me. Was kind of a bummer though because I was looking forward to seeing his incredible burb. There are pictures over in the burb area. Its a ways back though. If you want to see it you need to go to cheyenne10 profile and click on all posts started by cheyenne10 and you can find the thread. Pretty much everyone here has seen Frizzles crazy burb project and in more detail than I would be able to show. So no pictures of that one either sorry. I asked my honey if she wanted to go for a ride today...lol.

Ya, she didn't seem to be easily impressed with anything automotive related. But hey, how many women are? It's taken years to get mine to see the "coolness" of what we do Thanks again for the delivery!

Re: Took my honey on a little 12 hour road trip lol
I made the mistake of taking my wife to the Moultrie swap meet in Georgia once, and she said never again. We were only gone for about 10 hours and she was not happy. I went to the same swap meet yesterday, and we left at 5:00 AM and got back at 7:30 PM and this was a short trip for us. We were gone for 17 hours in the November show. Every year since she went, when I tell her I'm going to Moultrie, she says "That's fine, as long as I don't have to go".

Hopefully I didnt make her come off as a biatch, because she isnt even close to that. She just isnt into old trucks and cars and thats fine by me. We all need our little hobbies we do on our own. She would probably end up strangling me or something if I was in her hair 24/7 lol

I understand. If she was a big "B" she never would have considered riding along. This is where that together but not always on the same path vow kicks in.

My G/f is the same way!!! She hates road trips and whenever i ask her if she wants to go she just laughs and says have fun!!! At least shes nice enough that shell watch the kids for me. My last parts run was to nashville from memphis and the time before that was to atlanta and back.
