Post Ooohhh, Baby!

If you wait long enough, good things are bound to happen (chunked a rod thru the oil pan about a month ago) - what a weekend for me!

After an eternity at the machine shop, they finally call Friday and my 350 4-bolt block is done: bored .030 over, new cam bearings...

A guy at work wants to get rid of a forged crank, already polished and .010 undersize, and is giving it to me for $100!

And, to make matters even better, I answered an ad in the local swap sheet about some heads, and it turns out they're 64cc 2.02/1.96 Camel Humps (3890462), with a FRESH valve/surface job, new guides/seals/dual springs, machined for screw-in studs. I asked the guy how much, and he says $250, so I say, "Would you take $200?"
"Sure - they're yours."

Yee-haw! Time for some forged pistons and a lumpy cam!

WOW! you're gettin some real good prices here. 200 bones for rebuilt heads of any casting is not bad, let alone hi-po heads.
