1970 gmc gas tank relocation
hello all i just purchased the fuel tank relocation kit from lmc for my sons 70 cmc 1500 lwb truck,anybody done this conversion and have any tips ? todd in ga

if you do a search for this website you will find several posts on this subject.im not sure which tank you got if its from lmc im assuming its the blazer tank swap which i know nothing about i bought mine from ricks hot rod shop and ran filler neck through one of the bed stake holes

ok thanks,just an fyi i bought my sons truck of a dealers lot here in ga,it was a one owner special ordered truck that the daughter traded in.i will try and post some pix.its a 70 c1500 lwb 402 no ps no pb but yet has ac.strange options ???

Not so strange.Many trucks were ordered the way the purchasher wanted.Trucks were just becoming regular vehicles at the time instead of the workhorses they had been.You could go thru and check off the options wanted.So someone who had always had a basic truck may have been in an area where the climate warranted an A/C but still wanted standard features because that's what they were used to.

I used a blazer poly tank too for the GMC. I was concerned about using fuel compatable hoses for filler tube. As some say radiator hose may create additional problems later. Figured two choices would be best solution. Either go to a exhaust shop and have them fab what you need with bent pipe or to your boat shop dealer they have bulk fuel hose you can buy by the foot. As far as filler door several on ebay or a junk yard. good luck with the install.
