Panel seat question

I got some utility buckets to put in my panel. The right front seat bracket on the passenger is about 1 1/2 " too short. The rib that it mounts to does not go all the way to the door like truck or Blazer. The floor is flat in that area. Is there a panel specific bracket that goes there or is there a spacer?

Re: Panel seat question

With panels the passenger seat was optional. mine came with the optional passenger seat. I belive the floor was flatter for climbing into the back. Mine had girp tape under the seat not shur if that was factory or not.

Re: Panel seat question

Interesting, I just went out and looked at my panel and at some before pics. I never noticed that. I dont have the original buckets that came with it, but the previous owner still has them. If you want I can probably get a picture of em.

Re: Panel seat question

Going through my master parts book, it looks like the right lower bracket is different than the Jimmy/Blazer. The upper bracket looks the same on both sides. I need to find some one with the seat brackets for a panel. CG, if you have pics, that would be great. I think I'll try to fab a shim/spacer or something for now.

Re: Panel seat question

I've got the utility buckets from my 68 panel somewhere. If I can find the p side in the shed, in the dark without having to kill more than 2 snakes and a coon, I'll snap a photo or 2 for you.

Re: Panel seat question

Woops. Found the seats, but forgot I had removed the brackets to use on the new seats, and they were "tweaked" a bit to get the new ones in.
