1969 fender fit
Can anyone tell me if 1968 front fenders will fit on a 1969. I have an opportunity to get some really good rust free ones. I haven't seen them so I don't know if they fit differently or not. This is all new stuff to me.

Re: 1969 fender fit
Chevy or GMC?
If it's a Chevy, no. Chevy and GMC fenders will interchange for 67-68 Chevy and 67-72 GMC, with the 67 fenders not having the turn signals. 69-72 Chevy fenders will only fit 69-72 chevy's.

Re: 1969 fender fit
67ChevyRedneck is right. Below is the reason why the 68' won't fit a Chevy is that the 69 - 72 Chevys have a indention for the aluminum grill. The top is a 67-68 fender and the bottom is a 69-72 fender. No GMC fenders from any year has that indention.

Re: 1969 fender fit
I think what you're being told is that the '68 fenders will bolt to your '69 cab, but the fit of your '69 grill and/or hood will not work right with the early fenders. Many of us prefer the look of the '67-'68 Chevy front end. If you like the earlier style, buy the '68 fenders and keep your eyes on the lookout for a '67-'68 Chevy hood and grill. Then swap everything (I think it's called a "front group") at the same time.
Hope this helps. All the best to you on your project. Mark |

Re: 1969 fender fit
You meant to say '68 was the first year for side marker lights and '67 fenders have no hole for s/m lights, right? I just think of turn signal lights as being mounted in the grill or front bumper depending on the year of truck.

Re: 1969 fender fit
I said it right, reread my post. But yes, 67 = no side markers, 68= side markers.
