just got a 81 crew cab
i just traded for a 81 crew cab 3/4 ton and i want to build a 1/2 ton short wheel base i know there are threads on here but i can seem to find them on were to cut both of the rear frame's and stuff and what all do i need to change the front end to 1/2 ton thanks for any info

thanks tomanytoyz so on the front end i can keep the cross member and just use the 1/2 ton upper and lower a arm's and spindles and again thanks guys

That step side is cool toomanytoyz, I haven't ever seen a Chevy / GMC crew cab step side before, I seen lots of Dodge & Fords. But if I was going to do one I'd stretch the 1/2 ton frame & box it in. The 3/4 & 1 ton frame hang down to low for my liking.
