more wiring problems
OK one brown wire coming off Eng wiring harness plug goes too these two boxes (relays) and then in to these wires it was all taped up in ball lol PO.what are they?
by the way it was a strait 6 now a V8 it is a 71 |

those two boxes are something called spark delay?? an early halfassed attempt at polution control the wire went to the tanny and carb area
they were normally disconnected about 15seconds after leaving the dealers lot back in the day they were about as useless as they are today

That is part of the TCS (Transmission Controled Spark) system. The TCS controlled the vacuum advance from advancing until the engine was warmed up and the transmission was in high gear.
It was an early attempt at emissions control. Jim
