Re: custom dashes

I'd say do a search .. but well its broken.

Your not going to find much in the way of custom dashes short of people putting aftermarket gauges in.

Re: custom dashes

Here is the one I did for my 78 project, but I decided to keep the truck stock instead. I am probably going to post it for sale this week, unless my son talks me out of it for his Blazer..

Re: custom dashes

That's a nice looking dash! Do the gauges have enough slant to them to easily be read?

Re: custom dashes

They are not bad. It would be nice to have them facing up a bit more, but it seemed fine to me. I had one similar in another truck and never really noticed it one way or another.

Re: custom dashes

A while back I remember seeing where someone made a 95-98 dash fit into one of our trucks, but I cannot for the life of me find it now.

do you by chance a pic of the back side of that. wondering how you did it. is that alluminum pieces just screw over the factory plastic, or is that a replacement. i took one of my old factory pieces and cut the back all out so it was smooth, to mount my guages but it turned out like AS*.

Re: custom dashes

now thats what i'm talking about. i wanna do something crazy. nothing but custom. thats just an impala dash that you modified, right? i've got pictures drawin up of what i want it to look like. my truck is 4-wheel drive, so i want to have the dash flow into a center counsil that has the transfer case shifter into a sub box.

yea its a 59 impala dash with a center console that holds my cd/dvd player, 13inch screen, b&m shifter and digital air ride gauge. It flows into a sub box that holds 3 12''s

Re: custom dashes

It looks like a B.A.D. (billet accessories direct) steering wheel.

I can take a picture of the back for you, I guess I never did.. I might have been waiting until I wired it, which never happened.

And yes, the aluminum panel screws over the top of the factory plastic, which I had to modify to fit the larger gauges.
