flywheel question

I have a sb 400 with a 350 flywheel (bought the truck that way the guy said it was a 350) ive ordered the right flywheel my question is what are the tourq spec. on the flywheel and can i just tighten them up or is it essential to get the tourq right? I dont want to tear something up thanks

According to the Haynes Manual
Flywheel to crankshaft bolts
V6 75 ft-lbs
SB V8 1985 & earlier 60ft-lbs
SB V8 1986 & Later 75ft-lbs
BB V8 65ft-lbs



My dad told me a story along time ago about his friend’s hot rod losing the flywheel and it cutting through the bell housing, the cab, and out though the roof like a saw blade. I’m thinking it’s a good Idea to torque it right

Thanks for the info ill have to find a torq wrench I got a new starter & flywheel but havent installed because i wanted to get the info so i would have to do it again
