Custom Autosound USA 630

I get to use my radio in the dash, I dont have to cut it and it will even control my Ipod. This thing is sick. Has anyone ever seen/used this.

Re: Custom Autosound USA 630

I am so excited I just spent alot of money to convert my cab to factory air and I didn't want to cut that new dash but I wasn't willing to sacrifice sound or put a radio somewhere else. This thing is perfect. I wont be getting one until august or maybe even christmas But it is well worth the wait.

i bought one haven't installed yet though put out more watts from the pre amp than any other deck ive seen 260 i think most are 200 so its got some punch has ipod connection aux rca input the 6 disc cd changer is almost as much as the deck itself, i didn't bother i put all my cds on my ipod anyway.

Re: Custom Autosound USA 630

I love mine. Your sound quality is determined by the speakers, not the radio. Everyone who complains about custom autosound is running cheap speakers. Run infinity or bose speakers, done deal.

If it doesn't work then it doesn't matter how expensive the speakers are. I've heard more bad than good about them.

Re: Custom Autosound USA 630

eating brand new tapes as far as i know has nothing to do with speakers
waiting 6weeks for repair then half the outputs dont work with tape player has nothing to do with speakers
waited 8weeks the next time and within 2days of install it was eatin tapes again nothing to do with speakers
told it was then out of warrenty and nothing they could do had nothing to do with speakers
IN THE GARBAGE without speakers made more noise throwing it in the can then it ever made in the dashboard
at over $300 with little use had nothing to do with the speakers JUST POOR QUALITY POOR SERVICE from custom autonosound

Re: Custom Autosound USA 630

I just installed a Retrosound unit. I love it. I blasted the ashtray, repainted it,( along with the rest of the dash), and lined it with black felt. Why do I mention this? That's where I keep some thumb drives with various styles of music. One of the boys at work checked it out and is going to order one for his old Camaro. I'd recommend it.

Regards,
Paul

Re: Custom Autosound USA 630

i have a custom autosound in my truck and it works great. my friend works at a car audio shop and was supprised to find it cranked out 240 watts compared to some top brands like clarion, alpine, etc. and i would recomend there ipod adapter if your not running the cd changer, it charges your ipod and you control it from the deck so you can hide your ipod in the glovebox. but i did have to zip tie the fuse holder to the firewall or else there wont be any sound comin out of it.

Re: Custom Autosound USA 630

I am liking everything but the price. The average aftermarket stereo has everything that they are offering at a much less price.I'm trying to figure out what would be my incentive other than the look, and if that's the case than I'll pass on it.But it's not a bad looking unit, besides it's not in my budget ,otherwise I might get one.

And they don't have a very nice feel to the buttons and knobs... kinda like they are held together with scotch tape inside. The display is absolutely cheap garbage compared to what you can get from apline or blaupunkt etc...

I disconnected my Autosound. I wish my truck came with a stock AMFM.

Re: Custom Autosound USA 630

and if you are going from a head unit to an amp, the watts is almost inconseqential. You want 4+ volts ouput. 5 volts would be great.
