Re: anyone see this overhaulin episode ?
Just watched it...very cool truck. Only thing I don't like about Foose is the wheels he makes....too big for these trucks IMNSHO. Otherwise gorgeous truck!

Re: anyone see this overhaulin episode ?
Not completely sure but at the first of the show they said this guy was carpenter and that he loved the show [as in never missed an episode]. I think his wife told them he'd never fall for the gag so they called him out to do some estimates on the property and hijacked his truck while he and Chip talked.
Chris drove his truck right up to him and they told him on the spot he was being Overhauled. It was different but I liked it...shoulda seen his face.

Re: anyone see this overhaulin episode ?
Since they only pull cars from that area.....it got pretty obvious what was going on! It took the fun out of it.

Re: anyone see this overhaulin episode ?
I really wish they would do cars from all over the US. Some of the people on the show really deserve a decent vehicle but others I think they could have done without. Now this is not to say that Chip is not a genious!!! I love his work!!! The man could do whatever he wanted to my truck and I'm sure id love it!!!
Now for some interesting things I picked up on that show. Did you catch the guy trying to take the tailgate off from the wrong side? Also did you catch that only one vendor makes a wiring harness for that truck? And I never did catch what they did with the filler neck for the rear tank. Just some interesting things i got a kick out of.

Re: anyone see this overhaulin episode ?
I love watching the build part of the show but the prank crap i can do without. Ever wake up in the morning, look outside and your car is gone? I have and it ain't fun. Yeah, it makes for good TV, but in real life all you want do do is track 'em down and make sure no one ever finds their body. After seeing some of the crap they've pulled on people it's a wonder that jerk off Chris hasn't gotten his butt beat, or shot.
Sorry for the rant, but it just ain't funny. |

Re: anyone see this overhaulin episode ?
It would be great if they picked people from other states instead of just california. I know that I would make a great TV Episode because my big old ass would be crying like a little baby if those guys overhauled any of my vehicles. Unlike some of the other builder ANY car that Chip Foose does is a work of art. He can make any vehicle look awesome...
