2 piece drive shaft
This is to show what you need for a 700-r4 install in a long bed with 2 piece drive shaft.
This picture shows both my shafts, I now have 2 for the truck. The one on the right is a 20 year old shaft that the same shop did for me. You need a measurement from the end of the output shaft on the trans mission to the center of bearing mount. This was 33 1/2" for mine. Picture is for referance only. The back half stays the same. Overall length is 74" total.

It sucks not being able to hear! LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB! After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs. |

Re: 2 piece drive shaft
Yep, I'm getting ready to put in a 700r as soon as the trany guy gets it done, then I have to get the shaft cut, but everyone says it will be worth the trouble!

Re: 2 piece drive shaft
I wouldn't have it any other way for mine. Mine is driven daily and gets 18 MPG just back and forth to work. I have a stock 87 TPI 305 HO motor in it. I love it.
