Re: annoying rivets
Cut an "X" in the head with a grinder (equipped with a cut-off wheel).
Then take a chisel or air chisel and knock off the head. Take a punch and push the remaining rivet through the hole.

Re: annoying rivets
Ive always had the best luck w/ a good air hammer and and a chisel tip. Of course this is assuming you have a air compressor.

Re: annoying rivets
grind the head flush first the heat from thr grinder will help "loosen the rivet up then take a pointed air hammer and knock it out. This works has always worked well for me

Re: annoying rivets
Any ideas on how to remove the rivets that hold on the rear suspension bump stops on a 64 frame. I dont have an air chisel and there is not enough room to fit a cut off wheel to cut down the heads.

Re: annoying rivets
I just removed some yesterday on some trailing arm brackets I didn't have my air hammer so I ground the heads flush then drilled 1/4" holes in the center of the rivet just deep enough to enough to get past the bracket that way I was able to hammer them out with little effort the hole gives the rivet room to contract.
