Re: rear diff 14 bolt full float 4:10

Jon,

Is it possible to get a 6 lug axle into a 14 bolt? I am currently trying to find a replacement rear-end for my chevy and the only reason I haven't considered a 14 bolt is because I already have a nice set of rims and tires with a 6 lug pattern. If we could get it to work I might be interested in your set-up.

Thanks,
Shawn

Re: rear diff 14 bolt full float 4:10

I personally don't know of any way to put a 6 lug into a 14 bolt full floater. The semi floaters had 6 lug axles in the early 90's under light duty 3/4 tons, but that is a totally diffferent axle. Given the popularity of the 14 bolt ff with the offroad scene, you may be able to get 6 lug axles, but alot of those guys do like making the 8 lug switch.

What year truck is it going under?

Full floater has a large hub also,Don't think any 6 lug conversion will work

Thanks, it sounds like I need to pass. For what it's worth your thread has me thinking about going to a 14 bolt if possible.

oh, yeah I wasn't even thinking of how big a center bore the rims would need.
